I couldn't see the said woman on the same said road last Saturday morning.

By HK man on Monday, June 04, 2007 - 8:42 pm:  Edit

KY,

Thank you for your elaboration.

Please do report the incident to police next time when you see the poor woman again. You know, someone waving a knife is not a funny thing. Accident may happen anytime.

Furthermore, proper care may be provided to her if the case is reported to police who may refer her to relevant parties.

Thanks a lot.

HK Man,
I have passed her twice. So long I did not stare at her and kept my usual pace, she did
not attack me ,just continued what she was doing .She was the non-aggressive type. She
showed no intention to hurt herself.
I have followed her down Chaiwan Road once,
she turned right to Ming Wah Da Ha.How many
hospitals in Eastern taking psychiatric patients ?
I have considered reporting to Police the
second time but she turned round downhill Chai
Wan Road .
No one have any time to tell tales please|
Respect yourself and others.

<<<I have not yet reported the case to Police
since she is a sympathic woman. She is mentally
unhealthy , a little bit threatening.She
would not cause any harm to passers-by but
we must keep alert. I think she has been sent
to the Eastern Hospital psychiatric ward now
attending for observation.>>>

I am sorry that I have to say your point of view is contrasting.

1. How could you say a psychiatric patient would not cause harm to others?
2. How did you know the patient is admitted to Eastern Hospital?
3. Report the incident to police is not only protecting the others (the public) but also protecting the said poor woman, man!

Is this a story???

Dear HIKER,

I visited the grave of Tsang's Fuk Tak Kung which is near the place on 12 May.

If my memory is correct, it was appeared in the TVB evening news on 5 or 12 May.

No report could be found in the newspaper.

Nite Hiker.
Can you tell me more about the news that you read? Can I watch that news again?

By Nite Hiker on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 - 10:38 pm:  Edit

Some Saturdays ago, I read from the TV news that the police had taken action to a lady at the similar place.

Hiker,
Don't judge others according to your own selfish character. What I announced is 100%
true.I just want to draw public attention of
such danager and be alert when you walk this
path.

I have walked the same path today at about 10am
again and did not meet the same woman.
Weather fine but I cannot see any other people
during my 45 minutes catchwater journey.

Yesterday morning 10:20am,When I was working
along catchwater path from Chai Wan to Shaikiwan,
about 10 minute left downhill to Shaukiwan
Yiu Wai Road,I saw a woman holding a 8-inch long
sharp meat knife plunging on the rails she stood.
The path could only allow 2 people to pass at the same time.Luckily, she did not threat at me.
She held an black umbrella opening and dressed in white and black, aged about 40.
It was not raining.Woman a little bit sad.

Anyone walk the same path tomorrow 10am ?

By YY on Monday, April 16, 2007 - 9:22 pm:  Edit

KY, I think you'd better report police.

By Illusion on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 - 12:50 pm:  Edit

I don't believe what you saw and said.Police must see her.Is it just your "OPTICAL ILLUSION?

By KY on Saturday, April 21, 2007 - 8:05 pm:  Edit

Thanks YY,I have considered reporting to a
policeman riding a motorcycle when downhill
Chaiwan Road.I saw him in a hurry as well as I
have to meet my son at 11:30 that day so
I didn't report.
Illusion,The first time I saw her she was leaning on the handrail along the water pipe path
down Shaukiwan. The path is only 2 feet wide .We
were face to face so I could see clearly. The second time she was sitting on a pipe support.
We were only 6 feet apart. There is no policeman
patrolling in that path.My aim being to draw
public's attention of such a threat and take care when walking that catchwater path.

各位,報案由警察處理是一個正確的態度,盡市民責任,否則,下次重臨該地,地上臥著一個血人,無論是該婦人或是途人,你又於心何忍呢?

不緊急的事情,可以致電警察、向巡警報告或致函皆可。

At least inform the AFCD office of that area, so that their patrols will pay more attention to such a situation.

By KY on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 - 10:05 pm:  Edit

Thanks all.
I think the woman has been hurt in her early ages thus mentally unsound. From my judgement,She will not damage herself or intentionally hurt
passers-by if you don't challenge her.Hikers
may take umbrellas as protective device
when going through this route.Don't dare at her,
walk the other way round or pass alertly at some
distance if impossible.I was successful the first
time.I shall decide further action should I meet
her holding knife in future circumstances.
